See the adult, see the child

The Greenwich Safeguarding Children Partnership (GSCP) and the Safeguarding Adult’s Board (SAB) have worked collaboratively to create the ‘See the Adult. See the Child’ guidance which details how to identify and respond to concerns about an adult or child at risk. This is a complete revision of the previous protocol first issued in 2018.

All agencies have a duty to safeguard adults and children at risk of abuse, to recognise the signs of abuse and to take action where abuse is reported.

This protocol therefore, is to ensure effective and timely referrals between all adult and children’s services, including the transition between children’s and adults’ services and to promote good practice in multi-agency working.
