Safeguarding Adults Awareness Month – November 2019

We are pleased to inform that the Royal Greenwich Safeguarding Adults Board is organising the Safeguarding Adults Awareness Month in November 2019.

In collaboration with our partner agencies in the borough we are delivering a number of events for professionals and members of the public, to inform and raise awareness in regards to current safeguarding themes in community.

We believe Safeguarding is everybody’s business, and at times one can make a difference by reaching out and seeking support for themselves or somebody else, or by making a referral. As sources of abuse are numerous and people taking advantage of those unable to protect themselves use more and more sophisticated means, at times our only defence is to inform and educate people to correctly identify signs of abuse and manage risks.

We have customised a series of bite size workshops for front line professionals, free of charge: Safeguarding Adults Month 2019 agenda . Bookings are open now, so please get in contact to secure you space! Emails us at: mailto:safeguarding-adults-board@royalgreenwich.gov.uk

Every Wednesday of the month, between 10 to 13.30, you will find us in the public libraries, along with other partners (amongst which Metropolitan police, London Fire Brigade, Substance misuse services, Domestic abuse resources) and we can answer all your questions. We will be:

-At the Woolwich Library on the 6th of November

-At Greenwich Library on the 13th of November

-At Eltham Library on the 20th of November
